little maintenace and little modefy (Japanese page only)
books and magazines reviewed VFR400R/NC30 (Japanese page only)
Monthly magezine RIDERS CLUB No. 128 Feb. '89 reviewed 89 model of VFR400R.
VFR400R/NC30 had a minor change in 1990; modefied back mirrors,
indicators, front and rear suspension, and had color change in 1992.
Inner of '92 model's upper cowl is not painted black.
My English is very very poor!
The sturdiness flame. Its sturdiness is over NR and VFR750F. It is 7% less than VFR750R/RC30; a elder twin brother of NC30.
V4 engine. 360 degree crank V4 engine is responsive like twin engine. Its rich torque forget me NC30 has close-rethio transmission. The back-torque-limitter spoils demerit of torqueful engine.
Excellent handling. NC30 every demands rear-steer but its handling is very very flexible.
Compact and racy style likes endurance NR750 entried '87 Le-Mans 24 hours. My NC30's is colored like RVF entried '92 Suzuka 8 hours. HRC stickers on the seat cowl are very cool. But I choose this color because the wheels are black painted. And I like black and silver one of '90 model.
It's easy to adjast idling. There is adjast screw of idling inside of center panel.
Left sided exhaust system.
It was made to sound like factry TT-F1 machine RVF.
8mm spark plugs are very expensive; about 1,000 yen per one.
Although there is no plutinum plug and I have to change four
plugs every only 5,000km.
The cost for plugs are more expensive than engine oil.
